Safety Precautions

The electricity that is supplied is generated at electric power stations and brought to our houses by thick cables. A person may get an electric shock because our body is a good conductor of electricity. We should protect ourselves from dangerous and painful electric shocks. Some preventive measures to avoid electric shocks are given below:

Precautions to be taken while using electricity:

When we are using electricity certain precautions have to be taken such as

  •  Avoid touching switches with wet hands.
  •  We should ensure that all the appliances are properly earthed.
  • We should not try to repair appliances without a proper technical knowledge.
  • We should get all electrical fittings done by a skilled person.
